Duxbury Volunteers Help Build Homes That Change Lives

Posted By: Team

DUXBURY, MA, ISSUED NOVEMBER 26, 2018. With help from Duxbury residents, faith groups and businesses South Shore Habitat for Humanity homes on Feinberg Bog Road are in the siding phase of construction and should be delivered in the spring of 2019.

On the site, volunteers work under the supervision of construction specialists to install the siding to the homes, while area licensed specialists provide electrical, plumbing, and HVAC services. Yet, as Duxbury resident and SSHH Construction Manager Jamie MacNab explains, “You don’t need to swing a hammer to help build our homes.”

People of all ages and skills are needed on build sites throughout the week. “We need DIYers, engineers, business and finance managers, construction workers, and general helpers to contribute to the thousands of hours required to build the homes that change lives.”
