Deck the Halls with Gumdrops!

About Host your own Gingerbread Build and raise funds to help South Shore Habitat for Humanity build homes for local families in need.

 

We supply everything you need for a successful event - you simply recruit up to 10 teams and have some holiday fun!


South Shore Habitat for Humanity:

  • Provides Gingerbread House Kits* Please note the kits are basic. Teams are encouraged to come up with a theme in advance and bring the necessary décor!
  • Supplies team recruitment flyer template
  • Outlines the set-up and run-of-events instructions
  • Supplies tablecloths and table signage
  • Provides Certificates of Participation and Three Prize Ribbons
  • Provides participants with an overview of our mission, history and current projects
  • Posts your support in our newsletter and social media

 

 Gingerbread Build Hosts:

  • Select a date, time, and place to host the event - ideally between 11/30 and 12/24
  • Recruit 10 teams and charge a participation fee ($100 per team of four) Think friends and family or a work team. Funds are to be collected and sent to SSHH as one payment please.
  • Create categories for prizes if you wish - best use of the color turquoise, tallest, most historic, etc.
  • Recruit event volunteers/judges
  • Supply a table for each team
  • Provide snacks and beverages
  • Take pictures of teams and their houses and send to Michael Ryan at mryan@sshabitat.org.
