Live Webinar | Pathway to Homeownership: Understanding Credit, Homeownership & Mortgage Basics
This webinar will be presented over Zoom on Wednesday October 22, 2025 at 6:00pm
This workshop will guide participants through the essential steps toward becoming a successful homeowner. We’ll explore the ins and outs of credit — how credit scores and reports work, how to establish and improve credit, and why it matters when applying for a mortgage. Participants will also learn how to prepare for homeownership by building a realistic budget, organizing financial documents, and developing healthy savings habits. The session will conclude with an overview of common mortgage options for first-time homebuyers and available down payment assistance programs to help make homeownership more attainable.
CHAPA's Annual Regional Meeting Series
CHAPA is a statewide housing advocacy organization, and this year SS Habitat is serving as a co-sponsor to ensure that there is representation from all across our region.
Each year, CHAPA convenes stakeholders from across the housing ecosystem to learn directly from those doing the work on the ground. This is an opportunity to share your experiences about what is working, what can improve, and what CHAPA should prioritize in the coming year.
These sessions are free and open to all. The South Shore/South Coast Regional meeting will be held at Massasoit Community College on October 28th from 11am-1pm. You can learn more and register below.
