Group Volunteers


A South Shore Habitat Build Day offers hands-on opportunities to build affordable housing for hardworking families in-need. South Shore Habitat welcomes groups of all kinds, including businesses, schools, faith groups, and community organizations.


Your team will engage in a unique team-building experience. Building skills are not required. Our construction team is ready to teach you all you need to know.


The minimum age to volunteer is 18, however we value and welcome the efforts of volunteers between the ages of 16 and 17 and will work with organized school groups. Please note that there are limits on the type of construction work they can perform.
 
Build Days are from 8:30am to 3:30pm. We require a $2,500 sponsorship for Build Days, which is discounted to $500 for non-profit groups such as schools and faith groups. Your sponsorship contributes directly to the home your group builds, and the costs associated with it.
 
Your sponsorship includes:

  • Up to 10 volunteers on build site for one day
  • T-shirts for your team
  • Photograph of your group
  • Social media coverage

Support from volunteers, donors, and corporate partners allows us to help more families in need of affordable housing. Your financial support truly matters as we work to change lives and strengthen neighborhoods.
