Jasmine and her two sons shared an apartment on the second floor of a 100-year-old house. The house was in disrepair and infested with mice. The furnace pumped out soot leaving a sticky residue throughout and the outdated water filtration system was made the water undrinkable. When the landlord raised her rent by 20%, Jasmine was unable to find a safe and healthy home she could afford.

As a new Habitat homeowner, Jasmine now has a home that is clean, safe and affordable. Reducing her monthly housing costs allows her to save for the future, including for tuition for her older son who is thriving as an undergraduate, but loves to come home and spend time with his family.
