Westwood

Tsvetelina and Veslin came to the United States in 2013 with only two suitcases and hopes for a better life. Working sometimes four jobs to survive, they saved their money with the hopes to one day buy a home. But with the high cost of housing their dream of homeownership was just a dream.

The family lived in a small two-bedroom apartment that offered no room for growth. Their children, ages 5 and 10, shared a bedroom and because the neighborhood was not safe, they were unable play outside.

Today, Tsvetelina and Veselin and their two children have their own home with an affordable monthly payment. Their children have a safe place to grow and, as residents of Westwood, are enrolled in a top-rated school system, placing them on a path to academic and future success.
